Sworn in as second Governor of Chhattisgarh state on 02 June 2003.Born on 19th Dec'1939 in Allahabad (U.P.).Post Graduate in Business Administration (SIMS, Pune), M.Sc.(Madras University), M.Sc.(JNU Delhi), Graduate (Frunzey Academy, Moscow), Graduate(Staff college, Camberley, U.K.). A distinguished Army Officer, who has been decorated with PVSM & AVSM for distinguished service of Exceptional Order. Retired from Army on 31 December 1997.
