Justice P K Bhasin -
Born in a small village called Shahbad Markanda (Kurukshetra District) in 1952. Did earlier part of schooling in Chandigarh from DAV school and later on did Higher Secondary from DAV School, Patel Nagar, New Delhi. Thereafter he did graduation from Delhi University. Getting inspiration from his father who started his career as a soldier in Indian Army before partition and then joined erstwhile Burmah-Shell as a Clerk and with the passage of time rose to the level of Law Manager there, he decided to join legal profession. Then he did L.L.B. from Delhi University (Main Campus) and immediately after clearing the Law Course in 1974, got enrolled with Bar Council of Delhi and started practice on the Civil side in District Courts and Delhi High Court.
After practicing for about 17 years he decided to join Judicial Service and got selected in Delhi Higher Judicial Service in 1991. As an Additional District & Sessions Judge he had been doing Civil cases and for some years had also presided over Industrial Tribunal. From April, 2002 till August, 2005 he had been dealing with cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act investigated by CBI and Anti Corruption Branch of Delhi Government. From September, 2005 to 27-02-2006 he had been presiding over Motor Accidents Claim Tribunal. He was made District & Sessions Judge on 28-02-2006.
